You know the kind of trip that stays with you —
That’s what I design —and then, photograph— for your elopement.
Not because everything went "perfectly," but because you slowed down, lived it, and walked away with stories to tell forever.
I’m Kate — a luxury elopement photographer who handles the full arc of your experience, from the first “what if we went to...” conversation to the images through the final moments of your multi-day celebration.
I source and vet the guides, the lodging, the private chef, the local florist. I coordinate every vendor and guide their delivery — so you have the time, flexibility, and support to flex your experience in whatever ways feel right as you live it.
This curiosity to see and explore uncommon places, and my knowledge of travel on‑and‑off the beaten path, shape the way I design and photograph your adventurously luxe elopement.
What is Adventure Luxe? This is:
+ lodging - Beautiful, one‑of‑a‑kind
+ experiences - Immersive, meaningful
+ Time - to truly settle into and feel the place you’ve chosen

Adventure Luxe is about a "slow‑travel" foundation so your elopement mirrors the way you love to explore the world—immersive, elevated, and far from the expected.
Your wedding as an experience, crafted to feel like nothing else.

When couples search for an elopement photographer who handles all the planning, they’re often surprised to see what that commonly means, and how much still ends up on their plate at the end.
So, here’s what fully handled looks like at Soul & Sky:
Know where you want to be? Perfect starting point. No idea yet? Excellent. I build a custom destination list from your stories, your travel instincts, and what you want to feel — then design the days around what that place uniquely offers you (and/or your treasured few).
Where you stay shapes your elopement — the emotional tone, the flow, the privacy, and, the photography.
I find boutique properties, wilderness lodges, and adventure-luxe stays that become the foundation of your experience, not just a place to sleep between "activities." This is one of the biggest differences between a curated elopement and a booked trip.
I identify, vet, and coordinate with every vendor your elopement requires: officiants, guides, florists, private chefs, local transportation.
These aren’t generic referral lists — they’re people and companies I’ve researched or worked with, chosen specifically for your experience. You don’t research or own follow-ups or action items with a single one.
Your vision for your elopement sets the pace of the experience, and I build your days intentionally, with an eye toward the story arc your images will tell.
This flow means you get unhurried time to be present in the moments, so each image captured takes to you back to what it felt like to be in it.
From the moment you arrive, I’m your concierge, coordinator, creative guide, and, photographer. Questions, logistics, unexpected moments — I handle them so you can stay present.
The goal is that you look back on your elopement and the images of your story and remember how it felt to be there, not how hard you worked to make it happen.
This is what you'll find as the difference between a photographer who helps with planning and one who leads the entire experience. Most couples don’t know that distinction exists until they’ve talked with someone who specializes in managing that full scope of their elopement experience
So they came with a feeling & vision, not a destination. Mountains. Fall color if the trees cooperated. Water somewhere. An adventure after.
That was enough. I researched destinations against their stories — how they traveled, what made them laugh, what they'd always wanted to try.
While others battle crowds in Colorado and Yosemite, the place from their custom list that pulled them in?
The Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho. An unexpected option most might never consider — but the rugged, remote beauty captured their imagination immediately.
Vision → Reality: Hiking and play, capped with quiet moments writing vows the day before the adventure. Then, foggy sunrise vows, a UTV into the backcountry, 10,000-foot summits, a ghost mine on the hillside, hot springs to close the afternoon, and a private chef dinner waiting at their cabin that evening.
Not one thing on their plate except showing up and having a blast.
There are two kinds of couples who find their way here—
Some want the classic version of luxury — Lake Como, Rome, imagery that belongs in the pages of pages of Martha Stewart Weddings.
Others want something wilder, more immersive, entirely their own — the kind of experience that reads like Condé Nast Traveler set in National Geographic, scenery.
Her work goes far beyond photography — she creates deeply thoughtful, high-end, fully supported elopement experiences where every detail is handled with care, intention, and expertise.

Principal Designer & Photographer
I design -then photograph- multi day honeymoon-style elopements that are neither preceded nor replicated.
Search these remarkable landscapes, and you won’t see a parade of identical wedding photos.
I believe the world is too extraordinary for a borrowed plan.
My passion for unique global & Alaska travel, belief that anything is possible, and mantra that meaningful experiences can’t be rushed are the foundation of how I support you.
Simply decide how you want getting married to feel, and I’ll turn that into bespoke trip options and a plan that’s wholly your own.
Most elopement photographers offer planning help — a vendor list, a permit referral, a timeline template. That's useful, but it still leaves you coordinating the pieces.
Working with an elopement photographer who handles the full experience is different. At Soul & Sky, "handles the planning" means I identify the destination, source, vet, and coordinate every vendor, design your multi-day itinerary around the story arc your images will tell, coordinate logistics on the ground, and function as your on-site concierge from arrival through your last evening of coverage. You don't manage a single vendor relationship or track a single timeline.
The clearest way to evaluate any claim of "full planning": ask what's left on the your plate after booking. At Soul & Sky, the honest answer is: almost nothing except garments, personal details like vows, and your travel to the destination.

The standard elopement framing treats adventure and comfort as a trade-off: one is roughing it and physical, the other is refined and fully serviced. Most photographers land firmly in one camp or the other. But, some couples don't have to choose because there is a type of "Adventure Luxe" elopement photographer specializing in building the experience so that both are true at once.
Soul & Sky is built in that space between. The elopement experiences here take you somewhere genuinely remote and wild — glaciers, mountain ridges, safari plains, desert expanses and places that feel unreachable until they aren't — with every detail fully planned and privately guided.
BUT, you don't have to earn the view. The stay is extraordinary. The logistics are managed completely.
What you're left with is time, presence, and a place that would have been challenging to find on your own. That intersection is what Adventure Luxe means — and it's the one most elopement photographers aren't building as it is complex and requires a unique travel concierge and project management skillset beyond just photography.
Start with one question: do you want someone who photographs your elopement, or someone who designs and then photographs it?
Both exist. The difference is whether the photographer takes direct leadership in setting how your days unfold with the goal of creating a cohesive visual story — or — do they arrive to document what you arranged based on lists of activities or vendors that they'd sent you to research.
Beyond that, look for full galleries showing complete multi-day experiences, not just ceremony and quick portraits. A photographer who also handles all the planning too often is comfortable working across full, long days as they are with their clients for longer times. So, in those full galleries, look for images inside getting ready, through outside experiences, and into night time or images in the dark so you can have your full story captured across your time.
Then, look for evidence of planning depth — lodging choices, adventure integration with booking on your behalf, unique or beautiful florals, meals or food featured in their images, and a variety of locations within an experience . Essentially, you're confirming planning beyond just permit handling and vendor lists.
And look for someone who invites early conversations, even before you're engaged. That's a signal they're invested in your experience, not just the elopement booking.
Yes. An intimate elopement doesn't have to mean you two only and is why several experiences in the Enchanted Canopy Collection, Soul & Sky's fully inclusive elopement packages, are specifically designed with guest inclusion in mind — small groups who want to share the experience without the scale or structure of a traditional wedding.
A useful guideline: keep the guest count small enough that the celebration stays centered on the couple. For most Soul & Sky elopements, that means under 20 — and often far fewer. The lodging and experience design shift accordingly, maintaining the intimacy and privacy that make these experiences what they are.
A fully planned, multi-day elopement with immersive lodging and adventure experiences typically ranges from $15,000 to $30,000 and beyond, depending on destination, days of coverage, and the excursions/lodging/etc built into your itinerary.
But for couples considering a multi-day or bucketlist elopement, this is the most useful frame: this is your wedding and your honeymoon woven into one investment instead of two.
The photography and full experience design are one piece. The lodging, guides, private chef, unique transport, and adventure experiences are another. Storytelling images of the full arc of all the pieces of your adventure are the beautiful result. This is why most couples find the multi-day elopement experience cost can look very different when it's not competing with a separate honeymoon budget.
Starting investment ranges are on the pricing and packages page. A free consultation is the best first step — the scope of your vision shapes everything from there.
Before the logistics or the itinerary, there's often a little whisper tugging at you, pulling you to a place.
Wide and wild. Quiet and forested. Near water. Rich with history. Tiny under big skies.
If you're not sure yet which feeling is pulling you strongest, the Elopement Archetype Quiz is a good first step.
Still forests, sweeping savannas, craggy mountains: The world’s most awe-inspiring places are your stage.
I remove every barrier, delivering design through details on the ground so you can fully embrace a never-been-done elopement. The result? Images of a journey through extraordinary landscapes & adventures you’ll carry with you forever.
