The first thing you should know: There was a moment when Heather looked at Larry and said, “I’m so glad we didn’t settle for what we didn’t want. This was everything we dreamed of, but never knew was possible.” You can have that moment, too.

Their day started with a slow roll. By the time I arrived at their resort cabin, Heather had done her own hair and makeup, and looked gorgeous! She helped Larry get ready, then slipped away to put her dress on, and we stepped outside for a tender first look. (She clearly melted Larry’s heart - just look at how he’s looking at her.)  

We hopped on the trailhead for a rugged hike, 4.5 miles out and then back, to the waterfall where they had their first date...

We hopped on the trailhead for a rugged hike, 4.5 miles out and then back, to the waterfall where they had their first date. As they passed through hollows and climbed rocks, Heather pulling her wedding dress above her hiking boots, they laughed and told stories.

We arrived at their special spot, climbed up on a rock. They got out their vow books, and in this natural amphitheater with water falling, they said the sweetest vows to each other. No pretense, just them and their moment.

 Now, whenever they want, without asking anyone’s permission, they can return and stand in the exact spot where they made these vows.  

As they hiked back, full of a newlywed glow, we traversed a beautiful river beach and paused for a time at another waterfall for a quiet moment as the sun set, illuminating the fall leaves as it sunk below the bluff.  Slow & unhurried, their amazing day came to a close...

“We knew we wanted to hike and knew a location but wasn't sure anyone would be up to hiking very far but Kate said bring it on. She was so professional, fun and just as excited for our day as we were.

She was very responsive anytime we needed to chat or finalize details. By the end of our day, we had hiked about 9 miles, shared lots of love and laughter, and Kate was at the center of it all making all of our wishes and dreams for our day come true!
